Choose your date

Enter the date of the moment you want to immortalize. It can be any date between January 1, 1800 and today. Add the time (the default is 22:00 - a classic stargazing hour) and the location. The city search finds any place in the world.

✦ Don't know the exact time? A late evening like 22:00 gives a beautiful, full sky with most constellations visible.

Find the location

Type the name of the city, town, or place. The autocomplete searches a global database - from Rome to a small village in Tuscany, from New York to a remote mountain. Select the correct result and the coordinates are saved automatically.

✦ For a birth: enter the hospital city. For a wedding: the venue location. Precision matters - two cities 50 km apart see a slightly different sky.

Add your title

Add a personal title — names, a date, a phrase that makes this map yours. The description line below (city, date and time) appears automatically — no need to type it. You can show or hide the coordinates from the options panel.

✦ Examples: "Marco & Sofia", "The night Emma was born", or simply "Forever." Short works best — one line reads beautifully.

Choose your style

Four color palettes available: Violet (deep purple night sky - our most popular), Navy (classic dark blue), Noir (pure black, dramatic contrast), White (light background, great for bright rooms). From the options panel you can also toggle constellation lines, constellation names, and the Milky Way effect on or off.

✦ Violet and Navy work well in dark frames. White pairs beautifully with oak or light wood frames.

Choose your format

Four physical formats plus a digital option. Digital download (instant, €24.99): a high-resolution PNG you can print yourself or use digitally. Printed poster (30×40 or 50×70 cm, from €44.99): professionally printed on premium matte paper, shipped from an EU print facility. Framed poster (from €69.99): same print, pre-assembled in a real frame - black, white, or oak - ready to hang the moment it arrives.

Checkout & delivery

Enter your email (all orders) and shipping address (physical products). Payment is via Stripe - secure, encrypted, no card data is ever stored on our servers. After payment you'll receive a confirmation email. Digital orders include an instant download link. Physical orders ship within 3–5 business days and arrive in 5–10 days depending on destination.

✦ For international gifts: we ship across all of Europe. Delivery time to Germany, France, Spain: 5–7 business days.

Quick answers

Can I print the digital file myself?
Yes. The PNG is 5000×5000 pixels - high enough for a professional 50×70 cm print at 100 DPI. We recommend using a local print shop or online printing service.
What if I made a mistake in the date or location?
Write to hello@starrymoment.com within 24 hours of your order. We'll correct it before the map is printed.
How long until my poster arrives?
Physical orders ship within 3–5 business days. Delivery within the EU typically takes 5–10 additional days.
Is the framed poster really ready to hang?
Yes. The print is mounted inside the frame before shipping. It arrives with hanging hardware already attached.
Can I order as a gift?
Absolutely. Enter the recipient's shipping address at checkout. We don't include any invoice or pricing in the package.
